• When a man flees the country after live-streaming the events of Jan 6th, he subsidizes his newfound life in exile by crowdfunding a conservative travel show of socialist Europe.

But as his domineering aunt-slash-stage-mom pushes the show in an increasingly conspiratorial direction, he must ask himself how much he is willing to change to appease her before he is someone he no longer recognizes.

And all while under the watchful eye of the FBI.

  • Somewhere between Borat and Bourdain on Alex Jones steroids… X-Patriot joins Pat on his politically-pointed trek across the European continent to expose the horrors of Socialism to his Patriot (followers) back home. But our view is much wider as every behind-the-scenes moment is captured by the cameraman he’s picked up along the way. Wherever the adventure takes them, Pat’s stage-mom-slash-producer Aunt Carolyn seems to be right there in his ear, on his screen, or at least in his head applying the kind of uncompromising pressure she might call ‘tough love’.

With each episode Pat will explore a new theme in a different city/region, interviewing “experts”, meeting locals, learning the customs, all with the aim of exposing the ills of the outside world, and therefore, just how right Americans have it back home. But between segments of his show, we’ll peer behind the curtain to see him soaking up these new experiences, cultures, food, and even friends. With the kind of open mind that led him down the conspiracy path in the first place, Pat starts to open up to whole new swaths of differing opinion and perhaps even a wider truth than he’s been offered in his Facebook feed.

Over the course of the season, however, his personal path of growth and enlightenment comes into increasing conflict with his need to survive on the donations of his conservative viewers and sales from the harebrained products he’s hawking them. Not to mention, it becomes steadily more draining for Pat to live up to his Aunt’s unbending expectations of dutiful conservatism. And as tension grows, and Pat’s journey takes him from the birthplace of democracy in Greece to corners of Europe where democracy truly is being challenged, we’ll find out how far a man can bend without breaking.
